Person Type:

I am a postdoctoral research scholar in the Department of Occupational and Environmental Health at the University of Iowa. My research focus is the evaluation and deployment of low-cost aerosol and noise sensors. The assessment step represents laboratory comparison and calibration of the inexpensive sensors with medium and high-cost aerosol measurement devices. The evaluation consists producing a multi-hazard monitor for use in a distributed online network. My final goal is to deploy novel, cost-effective exposure assessment online sensor distribution to protect workers from hazardous exposures. The online system will allow estimate workplace exposures with greater representativeness than with a few, high-precision measurements obtained with conventional methods.
