The Personal Aerosol Collector and Spectrometer (PACS) measures particle number, surface area, and mass concentration from 10 nm to 10 µm in real-time in a compact instrument that fits in a backpack. The PACS also collects aerosol for later analysis of particle composition by size. This work is funded through an small-business innovative research (SBIR) grant from the USAF to our partner Spectral Energies, LLC. 

We plan to integrate the PACS into a framework that we call the individualized Health Environment and Location (iHEAL) monitor as shown below.
