Alum Spring 2015; MS; Industrial Hygiene
Person Type:

I am finishing up my MS Industrial Hygiene degree at the University of Iowa, College of Public Health. I have been a student researcher in Dr. Tom Peters’ lab for a year and a half. My research has focused mainly on evaluating a foam substrate as an alternative to the nylon meshes currently used in the Nanoparticle Respiratory Deposition (NRD) sampler available through Zefon (http://www.zefon.com/store/zefon-nrd-sampler.html). I have also conducted airborne particulate mapping as part of a consulting project at a large vehicle manufacturer to identify areas for further control strategies. I just successfully defended my thesis, will graduate in May 2015, and am looking for industrial hygiene and safety work in the Southeast.
